Maddie and Grandme planned a special day together and looked forward to it for a few weeks. We were meeting two of my friends (Mary and Tammy) with their granddaughters (Lily and Phoebe) for lunch at McDonald's and then to the Marquis Theater in Northville for a Children's Theater performance of The Little Mermaid. Afterwards we stopped for some ice cream at Rebecca's and then back home. On Wed. Maddie brought Ruby the duck home from school to spend the weekend. She came with a story book and a notebook to keep a journal of Ruby's time with each child. Maddie brought Ruby with her with specific instructions for no quacking during the performance. She was a perfect duck. As for Grandma and Maddie, the day was perfect!
