David and I went to Indiana for a long weekend to help celebrate Mom's 81st birthday on February 23. David and Laura kindly hosted the party at their house. The party turned out to be a day-long event. We shared chili and other fixins for lunch and those still there for dinner had pizza. Mom and Dad's friends, Bill and Edie Shephard came as well as Linda and Doug, Denny, Phil, Nikki, Evan and Ellen, Jordan, John, Austin and Andrew, and last, but not least, Stratton. In addition to celebrating Mom's birthday, Ret was finally able to hold new baby Andrew in her arms at last. He was born January 31, 2008 and is a precious little baby.
